uppercase surface pattern design guide

Yay... good news! 

All four Dotty Wrens are gonna be featured in the fabulous Uppercase Magazine's Surface Pattern Design Guide in issue 21! 

Only 100 people were selected from 297 submissions so we're very excited!

It's available from April and will also be given out at Surtex.

ABSPD module 4

Two of the Dotty Wrens got a lovely mention in the massive promo campaign for the new ABSPD module 4 today. Susan and Wendy are featured in the lovely online brochure for the course which starts on March 24th. They both did the very first course run by Rachael Taylor. 
Even though they both had successful design careers and many years experience already behind them they still enjoyed the course and the series of classes is open to everyone, not just professional designers. See here for details on all the modules. 

And if that's not your thing it's my big aim in life to run a course on my area of expertise....How To Draw A Happy Bunny...so keep your eyes peeled for that one! Coming soon...ish...perhaps... :)

on a mission

So, the dotty wren meeting went really well. We came up with some very lovely ideas, drank maybe too many of Wendy's homemade mojitos (we won't be doing that again!) and it's now mission on for May. Lots of beautiful work to produce in less than 100 days. Can we do it? Yes, we can!

The Dotty Wrens are getting together this week to make some plans. We're meeting up at Wendy's house to eat, drink and sort out some Surtex stuff. I'm packing my computer and some wine....should be enough I think!

sorry we have been little slow at posting the last couple of weeks, along with all the work we are getting ready for Surtex all the Dotty Wren girls have been super busy with freelance work and some hush hush projects.

working away for Surtex

Not that long till we head off to New York now folks! (Well actually 19 weeks... but you know... it'll go dead fast!)

We're all working away on new collections and we're planning our next get-together in February....get the wine in ladies!
